Crew Member

Job Overview:
The Crew Member is a versatile position in a Quick Service Restaurant responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and working efficiently as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be adaptable, and able to perform multiple tasks during the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders accurately, and process payments using a cash register or POS system.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food items according to company recipes and standards, including assembling sandwiches, burgers, or salads, cooking fries or other items, and ensuring freshness.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure all orders are prepared correctly, efficiently, and presented in a clean and appetizing manner.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize workstations, dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen equipment as needed throughout the shift.
  • Stocking: Replenish supplies such as napkins, utensils, condiments, and ingredients in the kitchen or dining area.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other crew members and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and quick service during busy periods.
  • Health & Safety: Follow health and safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to meet company and legal standards.
  • Problem Solving: Address customer complaints or issues professionally, escalating to a manager when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in the quick service food industry is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Customer Focused: Friendly demeanor, ability to engage positively with customers, and maintain a professional appearance.

Skills:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 lbs).
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and processing payments.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with customers.
  • Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Exposure to kitchen equipment, including fryers, grills, and ovens.
